8/4 Poly-Cotton warp is a made by combining strands of Cotton and Polyester.This is a 50/50 blend- app.1600 yards per pound on  1/2 lb spools  (for 800 yards each ). This blend is usually  durable and strong. It combines the natural characteristics of cotton's softness and moisture absorption, with the crispness and strength of polyester. This warp does not fade and the fringes will last on your fringed rugs

8/4 100% cotton available in Maysville Natural Ivory, commercial and special dye colors. Oriental Brand & 100% Cotton NAT available at same prices. All colors are now fast color.  Former Great Northern colors and Oriental are now included with the Maysville colors.this is 100% cotton and has app.1600 yards per pound - 800 yards on each 1/2 lb tube . This warp has been made for Maysville for many many years. This is the warp your grandmother used to use .

Information;

What does 8/4 mean? These numbers tell you the weight , yardage, and number of strands in the yarn.

 - the top number (8) tells the industry standard size of the warp ( an 8 single has 6720 yards per pound) ( a 1/1 yarn has 840 yards per pound.) The larger the top number the finer the single strrand yarn .

-the bottom number tells how many strands are put together to make the warp - so this warp is a size 8 plied with 4 strands ( the 4 plys cuts the yardage to 1680 yards per pound) The larger the bottom number the more strands in the yarn.
